ASHLEY LOVE
Ashley Love, Editor in Chief of T2PTV, is producing and commentating the event with Kristen Berry primarily filming and editing the same-day coverage. Look for highlight coverage each evening on T2PTV: Sailing on Demand’s YouTube channel and on this website, escow100.org. Love has been producing sailing coverage for over 15 years, but her history with E-Scows goes back even farther. She was fortunate enough to race for several years with her dad, Dr. Douglas Love, on his 4th or 5th E, “Hang Ten”. Based out of the Barnegat Bay in New Jersey, Doug Love’s involvement in the class dates back to the 1960s having made many contributions to the class including being at the forefront of the transition to the asymmetrical spinnaker.
“I’ve filmed a lot of events all over the world, but the E-Scows class will always have a soft spot in my heart. Scows are how my parents spent their time early in their marriage and is how I bonded with my dad as a young sailor. He gave me the love for this sport, which lead to my career. I’m very much looking forward to being a part of this historic and prestigious event and to work with the class, the Mendota Yacht Club and the rest of the media team!”

It is a true honor and privilege to be covering the 100th Annual E Scow National Championship on Lake Mendota. I’ve been sailing in this class since I was 10 and I never thought I’d get the opportunity to commentate such a historic event. Can’t wait to see 120 of these 28ft monsters rip down wind at 20+ kts. Whatevers gonna happen… it’s gonna happen out there. See ya on the water.
